damn sight easier than Japanese, which I tried and bailed

I gave up cos I couldn't get the word order and because nothing I learned sounded anything like the people in the Japanese films I watch.

Example: I took her to a hotel because she wanted a beer.

French: I her took to a hotel because she wanted a beer.
German: I took her to a hotel, because she a beer wanted
Japanese: She-subject beer-object drink-want-was, is reason I-subject her-with hotel-to go-did.
