This time last year, Watford were in pretty much the same situation as us. Botom half of the table, no consistency, an unbalanced squad, and disgruntled supporters...
So they decided action had to be taken and sacked the manager.
Adrian Boothroyd came in. Since then, six of the old coaching staff have left and six new ones have been brought in, headed by the experienced Keith Burkinshaw. Ten players left, twelve new ones brought in. Clean sweep, management and squad, and all done in about six months.
And you'd have to say it seems to have worked for them-or might they have been better off, a year ago, deciding to "stick together" and "keep the faith" in the failing system, the failing management they had then?
