I've always enjoyed my trips to The Hawthorns, easy journey, good away end and a proper ground and fans. Today was a good day.
Now we rode our luck with all of the skill and composure of AP McCoy. J Ruddy, excellent with one vital save. The back-four occasionally shaky, but with a passion to throw bodies on the line, especially Ollsen! Midfield, step forward Jonny Howson (how much distance did he cover?), Leroy a bit all over the place due to the tactics, but an assist and goal so who can complain? (and a nice jump into the away end after his goal) Redmond, speed, skills but needs to work on the choice and delivery, however this boy is a talent who scared WBA on the break. Hoops increasingly looking like the real deal when given the ball, nice finish. Elmander, not so sure, would have liked to see more.
But we won, quite how WBA didn't score I'm not so sure. But an away smash-and-grab will do me tonight. Oh, and a very Merry Christmas to the West Midlands population who were crammed (with their shopping) onto the trains for our journey home.
