no not foxers. i had constructed an impenetrable foxproof chicken fortress replete with light sensitive drawbridge which opened at daybreak and closed at dusk thus keeping my hens safe and sound during foxoclock. what did for them in the end was old age for most of them and some form of hideous leg infection for two of them. i had to off those out of view of the others in order not to stress the others. last winter one of them didn't make it up the ramp (old age i reckon) and died outside from hypothermia, when i found her in the morning she was fruz to the ground so i had to snap her off with a shovel.

we've actually got one left but it would be cruel to keep her on her own so she has gone off to a chicken retirement home at a friends farm.
