That Villa squad needed a complete rebuilding job, it was horrible at the end of McCleish's tenure due to years of Lerner selling off Villa's best players.
Both have had a similar net spend since then, but Villa have progressed whereas we seem to have regressed.
I don't think that Lambert is god, but he's certainly better than Hughton and I'm tired of these silly comparisons which gloss over reality.
This is not me saying Hughton's s**t, but it becomes annoying when people try to (wrongly) compare Lambert in order to justify Hughton's failings.
