Harder fixtures this year than last?

I've seen on here a few times now that we've had a harder start to the season (fixture wise) than last year, so I did some quick research and I'm not sure it'd true.

Last year 6 of our first 14 games were at home, vs 7 this year. And last year we had played three promoted sides after 14 games, thes ame number as we have so far this year In both seasons we played 3 of the big 4 - and had had games against Spurs, Newcastle, stoke, west ham, Liverpool, villa, Everton & Southampton.

I really don't think there's a lot between the two years. Am I missing something?
