I do not see a team that's 'tethered' or 'tedious' with no 'new ideas" or 'creating no new ideas'.
I see a team that's playing another well organised team with potential match winners in it. On Saturday for example, we were playing the team at the bottom in the league. It was incredibly difficult to get through them. They pressed every ball and suffocated Ruddy on every corner. It's not like the championship where there were weaker defences and it was possible to be more free flowing.
Sometimes, when the game is more like a chess match, I wonder if I'd rather have back the championship days but of course I wouldn't! How can this writer not cheer the fact that we're out of debt? That's an incredible achievement! And what manager does the writer think would do things differently?
Sigh!
