It depends

If you're winning trophies and regularly gaining good results it becomes far more acceptable.

But when you're struggling along and not really looking to achieve anything it's far more difficult to accept.

I guess only time will tell whether Hughton's style of football will become "acceptable". I certainly don't think he's going to be sacked any time soon, so I'm sure will be given the opportunity to find out one way or another.
