Excellent, all-round, busy midfielder with a brain in his bonce

BWIM he didn't just give it short and shuffle back into position: if there was nothing on, he'd push forward and look for a better ball. Good and intelligent in the tackle, too, and took responsibility - a proper footballer, not an identikit position-filler. IMVHO, one of the best we've had in centre or right-mid since I started following us in about 1971.
