Comet Ison

Has it's closest encounter with the sun 2morra.
Scientists are still unsure what is gonna happen. Will it survive it's brush with El Sol? Will it kiss goodbye to a life of 5billion years?
My unscientific prediction is this.
Run your hand quickly through a candle it doesn't burn.
It's travelling at 248 miles a second, so unless it gets vaporized by a massive solar flare, it will continue its journey and be a glowing spectacle in the first few weeks of December's pre-dawn sky.
Doomsayers suggest if will puff into a load of dust, which the earths orbit will inevitably encounter, bringing diseases like the black death. Bloody Americans.
