True, my point was that at Newcastle on Sat.......

Lambert probably would have gone for it at 2-0 and we might well have got something.

Of course we might have got a pasting, but Newcastle didn't look that great and we could easily have got a point! It would have made a much better watch had we at least tried to get something.
