e.g. riding through red lights, they are clearly at fault putting their own lives at risk.
The problem is, I think a lot of motorists believe cyclists are riding like a c**t when, for example, they take primary position in the road. Normally this can be to avoid potential car doors opening on them, or to avoid a dangerous surface on the edge of the road, or because they need to make a right turn a bit further ahead. However, the car driver only sees that they are being slowed down, thinking the cyclist is being a c**t, and so starts acting more aggresively.
