without needing to refer to govt studies common sense dictates surely...

it must be cheaper not to run cyclists over due to the fact that road traffic collisions and subsequent injuries are terribly expensive affairs that we all pay for in the end. ditto insurance claims. and, more importantly, surely the fact that cyclists are generally improving their health there is less of a financial burden on the nhs. i think its great seeing people out nowadays getting fit. it benefits everyone.
