I always imagine that most cycling deaths arise where cyclists are to the left of HGVs

and the HGV driver can't see them.

That either happens due to cyclists coming up the inside (which I just think is so incredibly dangerous) or HGV's driving past and not allowing enough space and turning in.

The latter is totally and utterly unacceptable, but I'm sure avoiding cycling up the inside must help avoid some incidents?
