Football World Cups have a different format and have meaningless games. Tennis tournaments have different formats, but still have meaningless games. As does NFL. As does F1. As does Ryder Cup. They all have meaningless games.

Why has your argument shifted now to the format of a competition rather than the fact that 'cricket is s**t cos it has meaningless games'?
