Needed that bit of luck with Jussi muffing up BIG TIME, but after that the players' noticeably grew in confidence and earned a well deserved result.
West Ham a very poor side and I felt that we were lucky to get away with playing 4 in midfield against what was essentially a glorified 6 man midfield, but thankfully they rested on their laurels in the second half.
Really pleased for Hooper and Fer, both getting off the mark. That will will do them both the world of confidence. Hardly a stellar performance, but a decent enough one in a game where we really would have been disappointed not to win.
4 points from the next two games and we can start to look a bit further ahead than where we are looking right now, the constant "two more games" deal. palace at home has to targeted as a win, while Newcastle tend to be very jekyl and hyde, so a point up there is more than doable. If we get decent results from those games then Hughton has my confidence for the late December/january fixtures.
