There was a billboard advertising campaign a few years ago for bacon.

Danepak or something like that, I forget, but basically it was just a side-on photo of a pig, with some writing top and bottom. Was all over town, on all the major approaches into the city.

One night, and it did seem like it was overnight on a single night, a team of lads painted vertical blue stripes on every single one in the city - because Sheff Utd fans habitually refer to Wednesday as The Pigs.

Must have taken some coordinating, that, and a number of different vandals.
