Completely agree with something Suggs said the other day

Successful leadership has nothing to do with being liked by the people you're leading. Indeed, in some ways it's a sign that something is lacking. The best leaders find ways to make you work more and achieve more than you would without them, and often more than you want to work at the time.

You probably grumble about them, resent them, and half of you is glad to see the back of them when they go. But they get the best put of the people they lead, even though they're probably not liked.
