McNally knows there is still support for Hughton, so if he sacks him now and we go down the fans will still be massively divided and he will be criticised.
Give it, say, three more games and we'll either have improved - and we'll all be happy (well, more satisfied) - or we'll be a bit more adrift and most people will accept it was time for a change.
