I think he's about 10 yrs behind where the modern game is. Don't think he'd have been the person to move us forward. Although the football would be more exciting and lambertesque, and I could be completely wrong. Plus his wife still being ill would possibly (and rightly so) mean his focus wasn't entirely here.
