Net spenders really means nothing though does it. Really.

Were we coming from behind some teams' spending? Yes, arguably.

Did we have to spend more per head in to strengthen than other clubs this year, therefore less VFM? Strikers, so arguably, yes.

Not saying we shouldn't have had more bang for buck, but net spend really is fairly meaningless at the levels we're talking about IMO.
