...back when we had 15k each week me and a few of my mates who had tickets in C & D block used to go up to the back of E Block before getting relocated there the following season.
People who wanted to sing used to get tickets in E block or as close as they could. Now many "passive customers" as described i that article, have just snapped up the first ticket they could get, which in a lot of cases are Barclay tickets with more and more "traditional supporters" being priced out of the game.
I've watched the singing group get smaller and smaller over the last 15 years on the back row of E Block and quite frankly i hate it at the moment.
Palace fans have brought some atmosphere back with their Holmesdale attempt at an ultras group, and Middlesborough's Red Faction are starting to win over their club with Steve Gibson communicating with their "core group" and agreeing to take them off the naughty step and give them a spot behind a goal to expand the group.
Fair play to them, i wish we had the luxury of a few hundred spare seats like we had when i was 15. Then City could try and get something going.
