I see this getting thrown around a lot as a reason to keep Hughton. A few names for potential replacements spring to mind though...
Lucien Favre (Glabach)
Highly unlikely to want to come I guess, Gladbach sit 4th, the same position they finished 2 seasons ago. They were 8th last year and play some fantastic football but are a bigger club than us. Potentially could chuck wheelbarrows of cash at him and tempt him over though...
Thomas Tuchel (Mainz)
A more realistic option from Germany, got a small-ish club in Mainz to 5th 3 years ago and two 13th placed finishes since.
Claude Puel (Nice)
Got Nice to 4th last season, which is nice. Plenty of CL experience and Lyon and Lille which probably makes him an unrealistic option and he's French
Malky Mackay
Club legend and done an impressive job with Cardiff. They don't look all that this year though, might not be an upgrade at all.
Sean Dyche
Doing really, really well with Burnley in the Championship and was harshly sacked at Watford. Would be a risk but could be a brilliant manager.
