Excellent series but very French - strange streak of sentimentality running through it, combined with sickeningly sadistic violence. And an emotionally damaged hottie who had me glued to the screen (couldn't find the tissues in time).

Fascinating for the differences between the French legal system & ours - & a degree of corruption (& acceptance thereof, avec le "shrug Gallique") which makes our politicians look like rank amateurs.
