Oh, I don't know

27 points from the last 30 games. Only 28 goals over the same period. 1 point and 0 goals from Hull, Villa and Cardiff, despite having been the 15th highest net spenders in Europe during the summer. And a run-in from hell, which means if we're not safe after 34 games, it's curtains.

Yet despite all that, I don't want him out. I want his assistant out, sure - come in, Mr Calderwood, you useless sack of s**te, your time is up - but Hughton? Nah. I like him. I think he DOES know what he's doing - and that Norwich under him are basically Norwich in default mode. He's neither adding anything to the team, nor taking anything away overall, and I can't see who we could replace him with other than Malky.

I don't know how much longer we give him to turn it round though. Til the end of November, say? Fail to pick up 6 points from the next 4 games, and it's bye bye? Worryingly, unlike last season, we don't really have a run of games ahead in which we have a real chance of putting together a s**tload of points: we're going to be down there all season for sure. And on what we've soent, that's a huge disappointment.

I guess we'll all know if and when the time has come. It's not done so yet, though - however much Saturday could prove the difference between 17th and 18th in the end. It would be nice if we could really go for it tomorrow night, mind: they're vulnerable. Very vulnerable. It's actually our best chance of winning at Old Trafford in living memory.
