Tend to agree, but....

If I recall correctly (could be wrong) in the first picture allegedly showing RvW gesticulating at the ref for permission to take the throw, was actually RvW gesticulating at Elmander, who wanted no part in the incident.

As I say though, overall I agree with your assessment, but it is a bit of a non-issue , other than as you say, the ref should not alter what had happened simply because he didn't like it.

I didn't like it either but it happened, and should have stood. What then happened afterwards would be another matter of debate.
