it's relevant for several reasons

firstly, and most importantly, he clearly has the respect of the players, who are playing for him.

Secondly, he is able to attract good players because his reputation in the game is high, he gets a lot of good references from other managers.

Thirdly, he is unlikely to screw us over, in terms of making rash short term signings or attempting quick fixes.

Fourthly, it means he is able to work well with the board to secure the long term interests of the club, off the pitch as well as on it.
