Whistle blowing is not essential for restarting play with a throw in from memory

and if he did stop play for Tettey, then it should have been a drop ball or free kick to restart play, it wasn't it was a throw

Either way the ref cocked up

Having said that, the whole kicking the ball out of play sportingly has always pissed me off tbh, let the Ref decide how to control the game and players like Wolfy and Fer try to win the game through fair means (i.e. scoring yesterday etc)
