I think the subs could be made earlier. The Hull tactics were bizarre, but that would seem to have been primarily down to injuries to our wide players.
(cos, you know, sometimes the management team know from training and the physios who's fit to play and for how long, etc.)
Not certain which managers we've had who I'd have said were great tactically. Stringer and Walker had a lot of nous on that front, as did O'Neill. Worthington was good defensively. Lambert was fun, but I remain to be convinced that his gung-ho approach will pay dividends in the Prem.
Would say Hughton is a cut above Megson, Roeder, Grant, Gunn and not really at all like Deehan, in contrast to the point someone was making earlier.
