I entirely agree with your assessment
up until the sacking Hughton part.
Think swapping out the manager would be waaaaaayyyyy more risky than sticking with Hoots and for every Southampton there's a load of Readings/Portsmouths/Blackburn/QPR (and looking like SUnderlands)
