FAO Chelts re Speed Camaras.....

In Scotland (for all the speed measuring devices, fixed and mobile cameras and the devices the plod have in their cars) it 10% +2 so you would get away with 35mph in a 30 limit, 79mph in a 70 etc etc. These are the Lord Advocates Guidelines (Chief Prosecuting Authority in Scotland) to the Police up here.

Now although the legal systems in England and Scotland are different, road traffic law is identical and I think it would be safe to assume the speed cameras etc are set in the same away north and south of the border.

How do I know all this............six years in the Plod when I left the Navy and an ex-traffic cop who has only just left and works in our office, tells me its still the same!
