including mine, have said - blame Worthington, he picks the team. A lot of the abuse aimed at Holt has been very, very harsh and a lot of it unfair but the sad fact was that he was never up to the job.
Holt got slaughtered against Fulham and hasn't really had a good game all season. He clearly wasn't up to the job because he clearly wasn't fit. I voted for Holt as POTS in 2002 but the levels of fitness that enabled him to turn out those performances obviously weren't there in 2004-5.
The argument about training doesn't really hold because football is about what happens in the matches. It makes no difference if a player looks good in training - if a player is visibly getting over-run in competitive games it's up to the manager to do something about it.
