barring the point where I could have not said anything at all
I thought I handled the 'incident' the other day rather well. I know you said something about usually spotting things
I thought I did well not to shrink to going on about it, to only be told I was either making stuff up or translating wrong. He knew what he was saying, 100%, deep seated
People are s**theads like that. There's a team at work who get on with me really well, but one doesn't. Nothing's ever been said, but the clash is there. If any of the team ever talk to me, he pretty much instantly stands up, and raises a question about work in his queue to them.
Now, after 2-3 months of it, you can think "cool, someone's spoken to me, and I've been shut down because of work", but after a while (knowing you and him don't naturally get on), you begin to see the jeolously in it (don't talk to him, you're on my team, talk to me). It's all perfectly packaged up to get at me as well, because I have no grounds to react, because they'll rise to the sanctimony of work, and put me in my box that way
Either way I'm on a loaded defeat by it. Next week though, every time he does it (which is pretty much every time), I'm taking a small leaf out of wotb's book, and I'm going to do it back to him, by going "textbook", and then swinging back round to work
So, um, cheers wotb :)
