There's no such thing as banter, just tolerance

If anyone's getting upset, then it's gone too far. It actually shouldn't be like that in the first place, but people see comedy in the dark arts (whether it's light enough as sarcasm, or mind games where another person pretends to be joking with you, but they are actually hammering the point home to you that you upset them 3 weeks ago)

This is my thing I do, I've actually mentioned it on here a few times. Start calling yourself 'the gentleman'. Not out loud to people, say it to yourself

Whenever a wise crack is made, say it to yourself "the gentleman, be it and win"

"well you would think that wouldn't you, you support Norwich at the end of the day, what's even the point of them?"

You "yeah (gentleman gentleman gentleman) what did you have for lunch earlier? Do you make your own?"

Diffuse everything. The 'banter' will lessen, eventually you'll become 'boring' in engaging in it, because you only ever shift away from the subject

Lose your opinion on most things, don't have one. Works a treat
