Route to Norwich from London?

I've got to do the drive from Kent to Norwich a few times over the next month including the Cardiff game.

Am I better off coming up the A12 than the A11? Got stuck at the Fiveways junction for ages a few weeks ago, I can't imagine it's got any better...
