Other than when Fer was suspended our central midfielders have all generally been available.

I don;t think expecting our manager to pick the best combo after 7 pre-season games rather than waiting until we are a month and a half into the season is staggeringly impatient.

Was very, very obvious that Fer was not well suited to playing in the hole from pre-season. It has also generally been obvious to fans that Howson needs to be able to push forward to be at his most effective as demonstrated at the end of the last season. Perhaps the one where some benefit of the doubt can be given is persisting with Johnson ahead of Tettey to start with but even then it was obvious by the Hull game that Johnson was really struggling.
