Foo thoughts

Obviously today was much better. I have moaned a lot about Hughton but in fairness he got it right today. I also think that first half showed that many of us have a legitimate point as it showed how well we can play when we press higher up the pitch and look to get on the front foot.

The Tettey/Fer axis is going to be the key to this side this season and pleasingly it looks very promising. Indeed the way the two interchanged and popped the ball around in the first half it looked like they already have a great understanding. I think Tettey was MOM and in my view Fer could become one of our best ever players if he sticks around for a while.

I also thought Olsson was excellent and Pilks coming back was big for us. Snoddy still not quite at his best but never hides and always gives 100%. It will come good for him soon.

Jury still out on RVW for me at present. Clearly a talented player but we appear to have bought a player who is not suited to playing as a lone striker to fulfil exactly that role which is strange. I would personally prefer to see Hooper start next week as I think he just offers a bit more to the team.

Stoke are s**t. If we don't finish above them Hoot will have failed.

A big 3 points and now we can have a proper go at a Chelsea side who have not looked entirely convincing so far.
