In the first half it was very even until their goal and after half time they were slightly on top but after some poor play from us got their second (an absolute screamer) and then they really did take the piss.
Josh coming on made the difference but then so did Johnson doing off. He looks like a League One player at the moment.
Ratings:
Bunn: 8 - dodgy on the first but made 3 or 4 very good saves to keep us in it.
Whitts: 4 - worst I've seen him play for us.
Garrido:5 - few decent overlapping runs but looked unfit.
Bennett: 6 - got made to look silly for their goal but was strong after.
Martin: 5 - looked dodgy for long periods but got better as they dropped deeper and he could play the ball out.
Johnson: 4 - awful, did some basic passing and tackling but nothing else and was rightly subbed
Tettey: 6 - like BJ was poor in possession at times but his engine got us through the 120 and did well for an hour on a booking
Olson: 5 - not sure if he looked better at LW or LB to be honest. Got skinned a couple of times by their right winger.
Redmond: 7 - grew more influential as the game got stretched and a decent assist for the equaliser
Wes: 6 - our best player at times but with no one on his wavelength, he struggled
Hooper: 8 - hardly involved in the game for long periods but always got in good goalscoring positions ad eventually won us the game.
Elmander: 6 - made some difference when he came on but his timing was way off and missed lots of flick ons. Not convinced he can play as a target man.
Murphy: 9 - direct, bright, effective, powerful, once he got going they had no way of stopping him an scored a dream debut goal
Fer: 8 - gave us some creative impetus we'd lacked and bossed the midfield. Couldn't have asked for much more.
I was sat right on half way and both sets of fans were loud at the times you'd expect. Vicarage Road is crap for atmospher as their loud fans are positioned as far from the away end as possible.
Good free night out for me though.
