I don't think that's any different to yours - as a manager, if you don't evolve, learn, after each game you shouldn't be in the job.

He's got new players to nurture, to train, to integrate. He deserves a bit more than 5 PL games this season - if it's still not working in the summer (and you stay up, of course) then re-evaluate - but to do it now is ridiculous. At board level, anyway.
