FAO falstaff (I think it was you)

You asked why Hoots doesn't swap the wingers over, at least from time to time? I batted on and on about this last season, even producing some stats that I hoped proved that inverted wingers produce absolutely f**k all.

Well, eventually, he did play Snodds on the left during one game, and we learned quickly that he can't play there because he protects the ball with his left and can't do that effectively when his right foot is infield. Instead of being very slow at producing End Product, he became quite good at producing Inevitable Loss of Possession.

So I've changed my endless whine to If He Can't Get The Ball In From Wide Why Not Play Him In The Middle? I'll doubtless be proved to be wrong about this, too, but that's why we love the game, isn't it? It provides so many opportunities to be Certain and at the same time Wrong.
