He never had the players that could take us above mid table in the Championship. He was given time because he took over a very poor team. He lasted until it became clear that we were under genuine threat of relegation.

That's not to say that supporters weren't critical long before he was sacked though (as you well know) or that it is errr... our decision when managers are sacked (slightly odd point that).
