I tried to give him a chance

And for a large part of last season, he was what we needed, we couldn't keep leaking goals like we were in Season 1. He was a safe pair of hands.

The thing is though, after all this wonderful spending over summer, we're still playing the same game, with players out of position, 1 up front (or 1-1 up front, however it is now with Elmander). And it's just not working any more.

If he had a plan B for these games, it'd be different, but he doesn't.

Like many others, I genuinely like and respect the bloke. Seems a thoroughly nice man who loves the game. He'd make a fantastic scout or possibly defensive coach. But we've made the investments in players supposedly not have to have squeaky bum time like we were fearing before.

Could be time to invest in the next level of management to go along with the next level of players.
