Is it worthwhile and reassuring?

As you say, discrimination is still rife and although "language" is quite rare these days implicit assumptions, patronising attitudes and so on exist a lot more than they should. I'm not sure anyone really pays attention to "the statement". Don't know why I mentioned it - it just stood out for me.
