Its a campaign by Stonewall to raise awareness of gays

or more accurately gay rights. They are trying to get footballers to wear rainbow laces.

I'm not sure we have actually said our players can;t wear them if the individuals wants to but i think we as a club have said we will not be promoting the campaign or making our players wear them.

at the same time the snakepit will be singing "you can stick your rainbow laces up you a**e" which some gay (and probably some straight) men might quite enjoy!
