It also glosses over the fact that it has the highest proportion of accidents and suicides with guns in Europe.

The main reason that there is less gun crime is that the Swiss are rich, relatively compared to all of Europe and America. They have a nice life there is no need to go around killing each other. There is a element of violent crime though, mostly knives are used and it tends to be the immigrants involved, the poorer end of society.
