July 2009 - I asked him this question in a fans forum for selected fans groups

Gunn was still manager and I asked McNally ?if it didn?t work out for Gunn? how would be appoint a new manager as I though Sanchez was a crazy appointment having managed Northern Ireland + Wycombe which was most League 1 stuff. I assumed he had been appointed when he was CEO at Fulham.

Other board members were not impressed with the question at all!

Can?t recall what his exact answer was but I got the distinct impression I got was that the appointment was not down to him. Exactly who I?m not sure.
