My problem with United was always the arrogance that exuded from all corners.

How old are you, Simon OTBC? I was just about the right age to join in the Golden Age of United Hating - I was 13 in 1995 when people used to chant "Stand up if you hate Man U" at England matches.

A really strong memory is of a United press conference in the mid-90s, when a long-term United fan stood up and said "I've watched this club for 50 years and now you're pricing me out". Rather than explain how times were changing or even apologise, the board member, straight up, said "Why don't you watch the reserves?"

And then there's Keane and Ince and Cantona and the Nevilles and Butt and van Nistelrooy and Martin Edwards and the injury time and the lack of penalties given against United at Old Trafford and of course Ferguson - I put a 20 (or so) point list of reasons why I hate United on here ages ago, did you see it?
