I've been to Portmeirion which was very lovely.
But the oddest place I've been to in the UK was Goonhilly Downs in Cornwall. There were big black lines you had to keep inside and people going around with megaphones telling you to keep inside them. Not sure what would happen if you didn't but I don't think it would have been very nice. Interesting trip though.
