As much as I dislike Hughton

It's not really comparing apples and apples. Gunn was never management material, it was frankly ridiculous he was ever in charge. Hughton at least has done credentials, and regardless of how rubbish and boring our football is, has delivered so far. I wouldn't expect him to get the push until there is literally no alternative, which is a shame.
