There wouldn't be new, better teams though

Just get rid of the really s**t ones. Still the same amount of qualifiers.

Saw an article the other day which suggested that UEFA may lop five teams off for the Euro qualifiers.

Qualifying *could* see 12 groups of four with one team qualifying from each... then the second placed teams play off in more groups.

Interesting idea.
